Five Things

Filed under: Tagging — Kyma @ 7:10 pm

I’ve been waiting some time to get tagged, as it’s recognition in the same way one receives comments. In any case, the lovely Cherrie of The Sensuous Libertine tagged me here with “List five things that have not been revealed on your blog” and “Tag five others.”

Well, where do I begin?

1. I love photography. I have loved it for such a long time when I was a kid, playing with my dad’s camera with 35mm film. I kinda dropped away from it for a long while but came back to it last year, getting with the times and technology. My love for it has come back in spades as I find myself going deeper into it and learning more and garnering experiences. and I’ve already found out that photography can be an expensive hobby but it’s so satisfying when I nail a shot and it comes out beautifully and how I intended it to be.

2. Socialising, particularly with family is rather a fraught experience. How can I put this? Part of it is because I know them quite well, there isn’t the same interest with me to talk with them, but even when I do, I some how end up in the corner and feel shut out of proceedings and the conversation. It leaves me lacking confidence as I’m never sure if I’m wanted there or not, superfluous and anonymous. Try as I might to avoid it, it ends up that way every single time. When I’m not with them and meeting others, it doesn’t seem as hard because of the fact I don’t know them as well, and they don’t know me as well, there is that mutual want to exchange words and interest. I’m just glad I have a job because it’s providing the opportunities to meet other people and the money to allow me further opportunities as well as buying the things I wish to have (maybe some new toys are on the horizon ;) )

3. I’m starting to become more aware of the food quality but I’m still a sucker for good ol’ British comfort grub. Fish Finger Sandwiches; Beans on Toast; Chips, Cheese & Beans regularly frequent my tastebuds… Sometimes there’s nothing like it, for all the good food that can be had, but I did find that the supermarket we usually go to actually seems to stock some fresh fish so I think I might try my hand with some nice bits of fresh salmon next weekend

4. Whilst I’m talking about what I’m a sucker for.. I’m a right sucker for dancing in my chair, I do it so much, especially when I find something rather funky and upbeat to listen to. I just found this on Myspace here. Have a listen to “God Put A Smile” please. It’s a cover of Coldplay but completely revamped, it’s certainly a surprise. I love a good singalong from time to time, and have been doing it frequently when I’m driving along in the car! Singing is good for the soul, even if you’re out of tune!

5. I had one crush at school, this skinny waif of a girl that I was in the same class with in my final years of secondary school when doing A-Levels. I thought she was divinely attractive and I had a massive, massive crush on me and that sent me into a mental tailspin that took a such a long time to recover from, mostly stemming from the fact that I did nothing about the crush. I’m not sure what I saw in her, when I look back now. She used to dye her hair blonde, and was a bit snappy and she seemed a bit cold. I’ve seen her about once or twice when in the local city centre but I choose not to say hello but I see that she hasn’t changed her appearance one bit since school. Strange that, when I’ve changed mine somewhat since. Also which is a bit of a shock, the girl I had a relationship with, she had the very same name… it was quite a shock to the system when I did get her name. I didn’t plan it.. but that’s life for you.

So there’s my five things you didn’t know about me before. So who shall I tag? Hmmm…. I will have to go for la petite dévergondée, Suze, Nina, Dirty Filthy Princess and last but not least, Dirty Little Girl. There isn’t any obligation to this though it’d be nice if you did play along with me :)

  3. Kyma, I have to agree with you on the junk food. It must be a comfort thing.

I will need to give this some thought, maybe even podcast my answers. ;)

Comfort food, is just that, comforting when things aren’t quite right… I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  4. Arggg! I’ve been tagged! And this one seems lengthy too…

I’ve tagged you before though….a while back, I’ll find the link and show you.

How has your job been going? I miss our super early morning chats since your sleep has regulated back to those of the populace that are not students or vampires (me being the first, not the second).

    Argg…a tag. *mumbling* -la petite

Oh, you had tagged me? I’ll have to sort that out then. Yeah, my sleep pattern is distinctly of the regimen of the sensible at the moment, going to bed early and up early and the timezone differences don’t help either. Crikey, I must get ready for work now because Easter Weekend is over!
